Meet The Authors

Kim Sharkey , CRNA

Kim Sharkey has been a practicing CRNA for 14 years in Middle Tennessee. Concurrently, Kim has taught and mentored Nurse Anesthesia students in the Operating Room and classroom settings. Along with Ginger Miller, Kim authored and created SRNA Boot Camp to promote excellence and quality in Nurse Anesthesia.

Kim has always believed that quality education is the most powerful key to success. As a lifelong learner and educator, she recognizes and respects that every professional experience gained, makes us the practitioners we are today. Kim believes that wherever you are in your journey, it is important to simply take the next right step, walk at your own pace, keep your eyes open, and never stop trying.

When not working, Kim can be found at the beach or in her garden. There is no greater blessing in her life than her relationship with God, the family she adores, and her pets.

Ginger Miller, CRNA

Ginger Miller has been a practicing CRNA for 18 years and a current professor at Middle Tennessee School of Anesthesia. She is the co-author of SRNA Boot Camp:  The Insider’s Guide to Conquering the Transition from RN to SRNA. With almost two decades of anesthesia experience, Ginger has taught and mentored many anesthesia students in the operating room and the classroom. Her goal is to bridge the gap of knowledge from an RN to SRNA by providing an anesthesia book that will give the student a strong anesthesia foundation to be successful in this profession. When she is not working, she enjoys living in Tennessee with her husband, Cowboy Corgi named Sarge, and extended family
